The Mentor serves as a positive role model for an assigned individual participant, usually an adolescent, meeting twice a month/two hours each time to engage in recreational/ educational activities. Hours vary.

Assist with preparing and organizing activities for summer youth camp. Activities include weekly field trips, arts and crafts, writing, and theater. Tuesday and Wednesday 9am-3pm or Thursday 9am-3pm.

Work with children ages 0‐5 years old doing age appropriate activities, including reading and arts and crafts to develop their motor skills. Weekdays 6-8pm or Sunday 7-9pm.

Jackets for Jobs, Inc needs individuals to serve on the PR/Marketing Committee to assist in the development of marketing materials, as well as support in exploring avenues to gain increased awareness of the services provided to metro Detroit low-income women. Committee meetings are monthly and arranged at the convenience of members.

The General Office Support Volunteer assists the Jackets for Jobs, Inc Program Coordinator with clerical duties to ensure the smooth running of business processes. The major responsibilities include answering telephones, making copies, faxing, filing and greeting clients. Very detail-oriented data entry experienced people especially needed.

The Apparel Maintenance Assistant supports the Jackets for Jobs, Inc Program Coordinator to ensure that the professional apparel center is stocked with appropriate items and the donation facility is neatly organized. The major responsibilities include greeting donors, receiving donations, offering tours of facility, sorting, tagging and sizing clothing.
