READ Ottawa has a group of talented Volunteer Support Staff that assist with crucial operations, programming, and other consulting services sporadically throughout the year.

To provide adults who live in or near Ottawa County, Michigan with an opportunity to improve and transform their lives by strengthening their reading and language fluency.

Mentoring a Hazel Park student through the transition out of high school and into postsecondary education.

To revitalizing the Hazel Park community by increasing its educational attainment and making it an attractive destination for families.

To provide resources and technology that inspire lifelong learning, challenge the imagination, and foster enjoyment.

Accelerate4KIDS™ aims to provide quality Computer Science and Technology Education to youth in underrepresented communities while gaining 21st century skills so they too can live a life of opportunity and prosperity.

Mentors work one-on-one with with students online through Zoom for 30 minutes per week on the same day/time based on your availabilty. Training is provided as well as a variety of digital tools to make the sessions meaningful and engaging.

To help students improve their reading skills and discover the joys of reading.

– Help with pre-sale sorting – fall through spring – Be a member of the Book Sale and/or Bling Thing event planning committees – Help staff either or both sales events: set-up, customer help, bagging, checkout, take down, etc.
