Gilmore Car Museum showcases cars built for royalty at Princesses and Carriages event
HICKORY CORNERS, Mich. — West Michigan families spent the day with royalty Saturday, March 7, 2021, thanks to the Gilmore Car Museum.
The museum hosted its first ever Princesses and Carriages event, where kids got a chance to meet performers dressed as princes and princesses. On display were several limos and coaches built for real-life royalty.
Executive director Josh Russell said the event was a unique way to showcase some of the cars in the collection, while giving families an opportunity to get out during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We’re just excited to have an event here at the Gilmore that’s really designed for children, for a magical experience with the princesses,” he said. “It’s really an opportunity for parents and grandparents to have that time and appreciate everything there is at the Gilmore Museum.”
Russell said the museum was planning another Princesses and Carriages event in the summer.
