Ways to help youth thrive

Community or School Based Mentor

To provide children facing adversity with strong & enduring, professionally supported 1-to-1 mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Mentors are asked to commit to at least 18 months of being matched in the program with two program options to mentor within. The Community Based option meets in the community, 2-4 times per month. The School Based option meets weekly during the school year during the mentee's lunch time. All matches are professionally supported to ensure child safety and success of the match. Upon initial orientation, mentors receive two hours of required pre-match training to prepare them to work with at-risk youth. A mentor in the program can be any caring adult that wants to make a difference in the life of a child in their community.

Ways to help

Be a Big Sister

Doing good is a beautiful thing. As a Big Sister, you can give a girl an opportunity to see beyond her everyday world and dream big. And it can start with simply letting her enjoy the things you already love to do, but can grow into something bigger. For just a few hours, a couple times a month, you can give a Little the invaluable gift of your friendship. By simply changing their perspective of what the world can offer, you can literally start changing their lives. Play a board game. Make fun crafts. Hit the playground together. Just as your options are unlimited, so is your Little’s potential.

Be a Big Brother

We’re always looking for people eager to positively impact a child and improve their community at the same time. Big Brothers are in high demand. So, Start Something. For a few hours, a couple times a month, you can give a Little the invaluable gift of your friendship. By simply changing their perspective of what the world can offer, you can literally start changing their lives. And sometimes it’s as simple as playing video games, going to a museum, or just hanging out together.
