Ways to help

Become a Mentor

BrotherHood Oath Mentoring Services (BHO) partners young men ages 8-23 years old in monthly group sessions and/or one-to-one relationships for one calendar year. Through these partnerships, as well as recreational and group activities, we share friendship, support, motivation, employment readiness, and fun. While Mentors and mentees gather collectively once monthly, they will make individual commitments to spend time together throughout the year where they can participate in activities they both enjoy. The mentors are not private tutors, although sometimes pairs decide to work on homework together.

About us The organization consists of men that have the passion for helping and mentoring. The Founders, Jason and David have been friends since middle school (over 20 years) and decided to pursue their dreams by giving back to the community in Metro-Detroit. They have over 15 years of mentoring experience, ranging from local church groups and Big Brothers and Big Sisters. This experience helped propel BHO into a reliable not-for- profit organization and mentoring service that will contribute to the overall community efforts to increase teen awareness on social, ethical and personal issues.
