Ways to help

Volunteer

We always need volunteers to help clean kennels, walk, bathe, or groom dogs and cats; transport animals to area veterinary clinics and other shelter duties. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation and no criminal record.

About us The Cheboygan County Humane Society was incorporated on March 20, 1972. The Society is dedicated to promoting the humane treatment of animals and finding homes for adoptable homeless animals. The Society is responsible for implementing Cheboygan County’s animal control program and operating the County’s animal shelter. The Cheboygan County Humane society is not affiliated with the either the Michigan Humane Society or The Humane Society of the United States.
