About us Downriver Panthers is a community non-profit 501c3 organization serving individuals with disabilities in the downriver and surrounding areas of southeastern Michigan. Our mission is to facilitate the development of adapted physical and recreation programs for children and adults with different abilities. We currently offer athletic programs in baseball, bowling, and leisure swimming. All activities are are recreational and non-competitive to make it fun for everyone. They help children build friendships, learn new skills, be involved in physical exercise outside of the school setting, and be a part of a team where judgment is never a concern. Throughout the year we also organize other fun opportunities including player recognition banquets, social gatherings, holiday parties, family outings, educational workshops, and fundraisers. If you or your loved one are a superhero with different abilities, please contact us. You don’t have to be a sports fan! You are welcome to join us even if you just want to socialize.
