Ways to help

Habitat Volunteer

Our most common volunteer opportunity is to help on a build site. Construction volunteers help with various tasks, including framing, roofing, drywall, painting, or siding. We also look for individuals to volunteer to provide lunch to the construction volunteers on build days. Volunteers ages 16 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult in a 3:1 ratio. Volunteers ages 14 and 15 must be accompanied 1:1 by an adult and assist site support not construction.

How you help By volunteering with Habitat for Humanity Northeast Michigan, you could be a part of building or repairing homes for families in your community!
About us Habitat for Humanity Northeast Michigan is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all.
