About us In 2000 the Holland Chamber Orchestra formally changed its name to the Holland Symphony Orchestra to communicate more fully the growth of the orchestra. A Board of Directors of 22 members, 120 musicians and substitutes from the greater Holland area and beyond comprise the orchestra. Holland Symphony Orchestra is broadly recognized as an exceptional cultural institution throughout the State of Michigan, the West Michigan area and within our arts peer groups based on artistic quality, the size and growth of our audience, the success of our education programs and our fiscal strength and stability.
