About us Serving as one of Michigan’s key cultural resources, Lansing Art Gallery & Education Center inspires and ignites passion for the visual arts, providing a forum for self-expression and community engagement. Founded in 1965, Lansing Art Gallery and Education Center provides public awareness, education and enjoyment of the visual arts by promoting the works of Michigan artists. As a non-profit organization, we offer free and accessible opportunities to experience the visual arts through exhibitions, educational programming, and a gallery featuring Michigan artists. Located in downtown Lansing, we have provided more than 500 free art exhibitions and granted over $110,000 in awards for students. We are building a legacy through engaging programs, a permanent cultural facility, and public art projects outside the gallery walls.
