How you help We are so very fortunate to have an amazing group of volunteers at Little Traverse Bay Humane Society! Our volunteers have the biggest hearts and we are so grateful for each and every one of them!
About us From our humble beginning in 1951, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society has grown to meet the needs of homeless dogs and cats. Since moving to our state-of-the-art facility in 2001, LTBHS has sterilized more than 18,000 animals owned by community members and has placed more than 10,000 animals into loving homes. LTBHS is led by a staff and board of dedicated animal lovers willing to work extremely hard to improve the lives of our four-legged friends. Our top priority is to care for the animals who need us the most. We believe these animals warrant our best effort, and despite being “ownerless”, deserve a loving place to call home.
