Ways to help

Volunteer to Deliver Meals

Volunteers deliver meals, chat with seniors, and check on their health and well-being. Route sheets are given to the volunteer to follow in meal deliveries. Volunteers must be background-checked per program requirements and submit a copy of their current driver's license and current insurance at least once a year.

Volunteer at a Dining Center

If you have an outgoing personality, sense of humor, and commitment to helping seniors, consider volunteering to help at one of our Senior Dining Centers in Berrien, Cass or Van Buren Counties. Along with helping with meal preparation and service, you might be asked by the seniors to join them in a card game, or to sit and talk for a minute, or just spend a quiet moment with them. This provides both the client and volunteer with the satisfaction of caring and being cared for.
