Weed/Invasive Removal

Help with weeding and gardening maintenance as needed in native wildflower garden (our certified Monarch Waystation) located in front of the nature center along with pulling assorted invasive species in the enclosed Pool to Pond area.

Nature Center Greeter

MooseWood Nature Center is looking for volunteers to assist and/or present educational programs to the public and to scout groups.

Birthday Party Host

Volunteer(s) needed to present a 45 minute to 1 hour presentation on a themed birthday party. Presentation could be made up of a 15 minute animal talk, craft activity or game. Parent and birthday child can choose a theme listed on birthday party page or can make their own theme.

School Programs

MooseWood Nature Center is looking for retired educators or volunteers with an interest in sharing their appreciation of the natural world with children. Volunteers would be working with large groups of youth typically ranging in age from 6-12 years. Interested volunteer(s) should have knowledge of reptiles and amphibians and be familiar with the ecology of a wetland bog as a majority of our programming consists of these subjects.

Publicity/Outreach
