About us In 1973, Sister Mary Watson opened the doors of St. Patrick Senior Center to seven elderly residents of Detroit’s Cass Corridor neighborhood and served a home-cooked, healthy meal. Since that time our program has expanded significantly, as have the services we offer. In 1983, St. Patrick Senior Center was incorporated as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that serves individuals aged 55 and over from all denominations. Today St. Patrick Senior Center has evolved into a comprehensive health and wellness program that provides valuable services including hot and nutritious meals, an excellent health maintenance clinic, and transportation assistance to a diverse population of seniors age 55 and older. The programs and services offered are as diverse as the population we serve. We offer fun and educational classes in art, technology, exercise and dancing, healthy living and social activities providing personal enrichment while creating lasting friendships. Most importantly we provide participants with a closely knit and caring community where seniors can feel welcome and involved.
