Community Table of Albion
Access to food is a fundamental element of thriving communities. The volunteers that make up the Community Table of Albion have offered their time, energy, and resources to make sure residents of Albion have regular and consistent access to food. The group has evolved throughout the pandemic to now provide drive-thru access to food boxes three times a month for Albion residents that needed assistance putting food on their table. Each week the Community Table of Albion serves approximately 250 families and for Thanksgiving and Christmas of 2020, they served between 400-450 local families each time. With the help of their volunteers and partners, the Community Table of Albion stands out in its service as a beacon of hope amidst the city’s growing pains and the ongoing push to address many critical needs simultaneously.
