About this event

MLK Day Clothing Drive

Even in the era of virtual meetings, we still try and look our best from the waist up. The Alma College AmeriCorps and Office of Diversity and Inclusion are excited to be hosting a clothing drive on MLK Day! Your donations will help create a gender affirming closet here in our community. In its future home, Highland Blush, the closet will be a resource for the campus community, and the entire Alma area. What is a gender affirming closet? This will be a safe space for queer, trans, non-binary, gender nonconforming, LGBTIA+ folks to receive free clothing. In this space students and community will come together in a safe, judgement free, barrier free space to be creative and expressive in whatever way they choose. Please join us on January 18th, 1:00pm-4:00pm, to help create this awesome resource. See you in the Alma College CSO!

Accepting donations of: Scots gear, binders/compressions tops, tops, bottoms, shoes and handbags, bras/bralettes, shapewear, and underwear (new and in original packaging). Contact [email protected] for more. Currently open to the Alma College campus community.
