About this event

United Way of Upper Eastern Michigan and Retired Senior Volunteer Program

Cause: SUPPORT YOUTH

This project in Sault Ste Marie to serve Chippewa, Luce and Mackinaw Counties is connecting youth with seniors isolated during COVID-19. The activity accompanies lessons about MLK to raise awareness of tolerance, understanding and service to the community.

Writings will be delivered to seniors through the Meals on Wheels program during the week of January 18-21st.

Youth will create cards and short essays about Martin Luther King Jr., and writings will be distributed to isolated seniors through the Meals on Wheels program.
