Occasional transport of pets is needed for events, special vet care and picking up new arrivals.

Laundry is never ending with the number of animals housed at the center. There are four washers/dryers that are ongoing throughout the day. Volunteers can also take laundry home and bring it back to help with the large loads onsite.

This is often the least favorite job but very crucial as there is always something that needs to be cleaned. Used cages must be disinfected including sides, floor and doors. We have an ongoing bottle drive. This has provided a monthly amount to help with bills. Volunteers sort and return bottles and hand in the receipts. This has become larger over the years and in 2020 the bottle drive raised over $40K!

Thank you cards go out as soon as we receive a donation. They are an important part of our work and must be kept current.

Must be available one weekend day per month from 12:30 – 5:30. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, answering basic questions, merchandise sales, and maintenance of displays.
