Technology is often a barrier for returning citizens. By being a tech mentor you can help bridge the gap for men and women who are navigating a whole new digital world. Many Fresh Coast participants need training in basic computer skills, installing, and using apps on their smartphones.

Update social media with news posts, events, holiday notices, etc.; help develop, distribute, and update promotional materials such as brochures, posters, etc.; and assist with organization and execution of marketing events.

Organize outreach materials for distribution and assist with outreach events by creating, compiling, or passing out materials to the public.

Organize and sanitize items in toy room; dust and organize books in library; wash windows, walls, doors, and doorknobs; and remove trash.

Assist with planning and management of fundraising events, assist with event set-up or clean-up, help develop and coordinate distribution of fundraising materials, and help secure in-kind donations for raffles or auctions.

Childcare volunteers supervise children during facility programs when mothers are working on case management needs, health and medical appointments and additional times as needed. They also make arts and crafts, read stories, play games, watch educational videos, go on field trips, and tutor.

Help out with essential aspects of shelter maintenance such as painting, minor repairs, cleaning, organization, yard work/gardening, and more.
