MARL’s Cat Rooms and Cage-Free Cat Room are maintained primarily by volunteers! We need help cleaning each of these rooms in the morning before our shelter opens to the public. General duties include cleaning, doing dishes, scooping litter boxes, and providing the cats with food, clean water and clean bedding. In addition to cleaning, we also need volunteers to help socialize our cats and kittens throughout the day.
To volunteer in our cat rooms you need to be at least 18 years old and make at least a three month commitment of one day per week. Volunteers ages 13-17 may work cat rooms but need to be accompanied by an adult over 25 years old who is also a volunteer and must perform the same tasks.
