Is your group, organization, or business looking for a way to give back to the community? Offered monthly, this 3-hour program includes education about HSHV, shelter tour, meet-and-greet with an adoptable dog, and 2 hours of hands-on volunteer time. Groups of up to 10 (due to Covid social distancing), all age 18+. While we work to accommodate all volunteers, we recommend that volunteers be able to lift up to 20 lbs. We welcome groups that may include adults who have cognitive or physical impairments. To ensure everyone has a fun, successful day volunteering, we ask that caregivers or a person of support attend with any adults who may need extra assistance. Volunteer assignments are based on our shelter’s need at the time. Typical assignments include administrative work, landscape support, mulch spreading, and cleaning.
