The historic 1870s Homestead is open June-August, and we rely on volunteers to welcome visitors, lead historic crafts and activities, work in the garden, teach lessons at the log one-room schoolhouse or demonstrate historic skills. An orientation is offered with ongoing ‘on-the-job’ training. Reference materials are available to learn new skills. Volunteers must commit to working a minimum of 4-5 times during the season.
