Volunteers interested in assisting in various duties that help maintain the interior and exterior of the theatre and costume shop: Planting flowers by the theatre, Watering flowers throughout the summer, Decorating for the seasons, Spring cleaning of the theatre, or Spring cleaning of the costume shop.

We welcome individuals, civic, school, or local clubs who may be interested in volunteering together. Our volunteers will help to keep the theater operating on a year round basis, creating a wonderful cultural destination for the downtown and surrounding area.

Assist with property facilities maintenance: painting, interior decorating projects, repair work, etc. Assist with grounds maintenance: landscaping, yard clean up, and special projects as needed.

Our Shelter Pals work with the agency’s adoptable animals, socializing cats and walking dogs. HSSCM accepts volunteers of all ages; individuals must be 16 years or older to volunteer without a parent present. HSSCM is always in need of groups to come out and work on special projects, especially helping clean up and mulch our dog park trail system. Contact us if you have a group needing a project.

Collect orders as clients arrive for curbside delivery on-site at the Resource Center, complete walk-up orders, and help keep the pantry stocked during distribution hours. This position interacts directly with clients, requires frequent movement and lifting, and is often fast paced.

Help unload the Food Gatherers delivery truck, sort and bag produce, and stock shelves in the pantry. This position requires frequent movement and lifting, and is often fast paced.

Help fill client grocery orders and prepare for our weekly food distribution. Complete client orders by filling their packages with the requested products and label them appropriately so they’re ready to go. This position requires frequent movement and lifting, and is often fast paced.

Individual cleanups are just what they sound like: you, a trash bag, and whatever segment of the B2B means the most to you – or even at home! Use your judgment. Don’t pick up anything that seems unsafe or unsanitary. Wear gloves.

Stewardship opportunities include: volunteer workdays (plantings, Earth Day, etc.), preserve monitoring, kestrel nest box monitoring and stream monitoring.
