The volunteer must be trained by a counselor in support group procedures in order to successfully co-facilitate.

The volunteer may work directly with the children. Childcare is provided to clients so they may attend support groups and counseling appointments.

The volunteer must have training in the crisis line procedures. The volunteer may answer the line at the shelter or at home.

The volunteer may work directly with other agencies on behalf of the victim and or children via telephone or face-to-face.

The Iron County Coordinate Community Response Team and Gogebic County Task Force is formed by key community agencies (DOVE, law enforcement, health care providers, prosecuting attorney, etc.) to promote the prevention/education of domestic and sexual violence and enhance victim safety and offender accountability.
