Providing snack bags provides much needed sustenance so families can focus on what’s most important – healing. Each snack bag is filled with 4-5 individually packaged snack items for families to take with them while on-the-go. We need your help to bring some light to the snack bags!
Help facilitate wish experiences for non-English-speaking families. Translators attend wish visits and phone calls, but they are not directly involved in planning wishes. They may also assist with the translation of documents and other materials as needed.
Any Bay County resident, age 55 and older can participate in this service group. Volunteers are paired with a non profit an apply the skills they have learned in the workforce to address social needs. United Way of Saginaw County will be working with community partners in response to the flooding in Saginaw County and the Covid-19 pandemic. Volunteer opportunities may range from virtual opportunities to boots on the street activities. We are working with the Emergency Operations Manager and other community partners to identify the greatest needs.
