Assist with general tasks such as: Laundry Duty, Housekeeping/Janitorial Duty, Vacuuming, Mopping, Bathroom Cleaning, Lounge/Kitchen Cleaning, Making sure the shelter has enough supplies, Yard Work, Raking, Trail Maintenance, and Shoveling.

We are always in need of people with experience in construction trades, equipment maintenance, groundskeeping, event planning and concession experience. And, of course, we mow a LOT of grass! Like to mow? Our fields and common areas are all mowed by volunteers.

There are several times each year that we have special projects going on at the complex that are perfectly suited for volunteer groups of 5 to 20 people for 2 to 4 hours or more. Many hands make project workdays and events go much more easily.

Assist with a variety of habitat management activities including forest rehabilitation and invasive species control. This type of work requires heavy physical labor in natural areas and in challenging environments. Our current initiative is the wood sustainability program. Help prepare wood for reuse into functional furniture items/home goods. Tasks include making wooden pens, building/assembling furniture items, and maintaining/organizing woodshop space. Knowledge of woodworking machinery required.

As a volunteer crew member, your responsibilities will include all manner of shipboard duties from washing the deck and greeting passengers to handling lines, setting sails, and delivering educational programming.
